You lent money to the Portuguese?

When the first reports emerged on whether Finland's refusal to underwrite the aid package to Portugal wrote on my Facebook that, while we were ten million and they only five, maybe we could invade them. Soon a friend replied that unfortunately we would not have money to buy sandwiches for the road.

Jokes aside, I confess that I find the video now sponsored by Generation C, turned into viral internet phenomenon and has come to television since Finnish great fun. It is innocuous enough and tongue-in-cheek not be completely taken seriously. The reactions were varied, here and there, but fortunately the intelligence and sense of humor seem to prevail, as reflected in the recent tweet Alex Stubb, Finnish Foreign Minister.

A question remains, however, viewing this short film. One question that the Portuguese, perhaps more than any other, no longer do. After all, having a heritage so rich, so a huge potential, with a proven record of volunteerism, resourcefulness and generosity, because we are so close to bankruptcy?
Why these qualities do not prevail in the way we govern and organize as a society, come to the fore the worst of us all: the devaluation of work, lack of national ethical, complacency and corruption and the handing over petty interests .
Finns have some reason do not forget to remind us who live in countries with lower levels of corruption in the world. Unfortunately the same can not be said of Portugal. Among

we talk about corruption as a phenomenon they were tight. As if corruption is not meant in its broadest sense, a social degeneration resulting from the sum of our collective behavior. And if we questionĂ¡ssemos about it bluntly? We will be dishonest? In truth we
the violation of the rules as something unusual in our way of life. Disrespecting the speed limit on the road and found normal. How normal is to use the phone while driving. Download routinely movies from the internet. Using illegal software. Sabotage the cable television network or wi-fi neighbor. Defeat the timecard or evade income tax return.

We are so often that, for small to large things. And we all tolerable, self-justified, normal. In us as in those who govern us, because otherwise we could not tolerate the lack of honesty, staging, and Denial of the facts at the highest level of state functions.
And this I can not explain or even glimpse a glimmer of sense. I confess I feel no longer be part of a minority but a minorĂssima. And I feel so right This external intervention necessary, as I believe to be worthy of it. After all, you lend your money to the Portuguese?
